Max's good friend Uma came with us to the pumpkin patch. She was so excited to pick one out. We also got tacos and slurpees on the way. It was a great afternoon.

You do realize that this is not a real pumpkin patch, right?
The other funny story about the day was when we stopped to order tacos and burritos on the way over, I asked Uma if she wanted a taco or burrito. "I've never had a taco". We were all incredulous, but then she said she was a vegetarian. So I got her a burrito. Then, at 7-11, I asked if she'd ever had a Slurpee, "no". Had she ever been in a 7-11?, "once". Her family also doesn't watch TV -- I feel the Genets have a real potential be a bad influence on such a nice kid.

Oh yeah, when Uma drank her slurpee she said, "I can crunch the sugar in this". So maybe they limit sugar intake at their house.
My kids don't even notice anymore.
Ohhh you are brave, we can't hang out with people who don't watch tv.
I'm hoping she'll be a GOOD influence on us! But, we are all watching TV as I type this.... good luck, Uma.
